Think about a place which is usually called “the heart of your home”. You probably thought about the bedroom and that’s absolutely reasonable. Your bedroom is a place where you can relax after a busy day, read a book in silence, sleep well, and recuperate. That’s why it should be cozy and functional, beautiful and relaxing, romantic and comfortable.
A thoughtful interior, furniture, and the right light will help you to make the room comfortable. The right light will help you to relax after a hard day, and wake up faster in the morning. Оn the contrary, the wrong choice of light will distract and lead to insomnia or at least a bad mood. Therefore, it is important to understand what kind of lighting in the bedroom is best.

Central lighting
- Bedroom lighting should be comfortable, sufficient, but at the same time dim and diffused to create an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Central lighting, which is usually a classic chandelier, can be changed with a LED chandelier with brightness and color temperature settings. Some of them even have a portable alarm or speaker.

Spotlights
- Spotlights are perfect for low ceilings. They visually save space and make the illumination diffused and even. If you have a stretch or suspended ceiling, it should be also illuminated with spotlights, which makes the ceilings look higher.

- For bedside lighting, you can use floor lamps or lamps on retractable brackets that are perfect for the bedroom. They are attached either to the wall or to the head of the bed, and light can be directed in different directions.

- If you have a mirror in your room, you should install the light in it as well. The best idea is to use backlighting from both sides with a sconce. You can also use a lamp on top of the mirror exactly in its center or a built-in illumination.

- Diode tapes are fine not only as lighting, but also as decoration. With the help of strips of miniature LED bulbs, you can highlight an architectural element (niches, recesses, multi-level ceilings) or furniture (illumination of the bottom of a bed, bedside table, wardrobe).
